KCTV: Saint Luke's Women's Heart Center Stresses Importance of Women's Heart Health and Research

Heart attack and stroke are the number one health threat to women and research shows that only 56% of women in the U.S. recognize that heart disease is their number one killer.

Dr. Tracy Stevens, medical director of Saint Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women's Heart Center, talks to KCTV about the unique symptoms of heart attacks in women and what people can do today to lower their risk of heart disease. 
 


Saint Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women's Heart Center was the first of its kind in the nation to solely focus on the care and treatment of women’s hearts and has paved the way for women’s heart care across the country.  It’s celebrating its 30th anniversary of advocating for and treating women’s heart.
