Centrifuge and store refrigerated prior to shipment in the original SST tube. Ship ambient in the integrated genetics shipping box , in warm weather ship with cold packs.
If not able to ship the same day as draw, aliquot and store frozen prior to shipment. Ship in integrated genetics shipping box with cold packs. Please add a comment to the test requisition that the sample was stored frozen prior to shipment.
Unacceptable Condition:
Gross hemolysis, gross lipemia, QNS, past viability window (specimens must be received within four days of collection).
