Saint Luke’s South and East Region CEO shares priorities for his term leading KHA Board of Directors

The Wright Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to announce the continuation of the scholarship program for area residents. Students already enrolled in or admitted to a degree program in a health care field are eligible for the scholarship.

Dr. Mathis is accepting new patients of all ages and has special interests in pediatrics, women’s health, in-office procedures, and sports medicine.

Catherine Hamilton, administrator at WMH, presented the award to Gordon at a ceremony held in her honor.

The scholarship will is named the Harkness Scholarship, after Dr. James A. Harkness, a former Chillicothe physician and Chief of Staff at Hedrick Medical Center.

Hamilton has been serving in this role in an interim capacity since August 2023, leading the day-to-day operations of the two North Central Missouri hospitals.

This award recognizes hospitals for their efforts toward care excellence for suspected non ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome care excellence.

Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute was the first in Kansas and Missouri, and one of only 27 US institutions, to participate in PULSED AF clinical trial.

As of January 1, 2024, Wright Memorial Hospital entered into a new contract with the emergency medicine physicians providing care in the hospital’s emergency department.
