About Amita Narla
Amita Narla, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Saint Luke's Perryman Primary Care. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine and wellness, women's health, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hypothyroidism, and managing depression and anxiety.
To provide excellent care for her patients, Dr. Narla looks at the whole person and then cares for specific health needs in a personalized manner. For Dr. Narla, the most satisfying part of her job is the relationships she builds with her patients.
Dr. Narla was born and raised on a small island in India where her father worked at the Indian space research center. She was fascinated with science from an early age and her medical practice emphasizes evidence-based medicine developed from the latest research.
When Dr. Narla isn’t caring for patients, she likes to spend time with her husband and children, and practice yoga.
