About Andrew J. Sauer
Andrew J. Sauer, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained academic cardiologist, as well as an associate professor of cardiovascular medicine. He focuses on the clinical, educational, and investigational aspects of heart failure, its therapies, and cardiac transplantation.
Dr. Sauer believes his role is to save lives, eradicate disease, and alleviate suffering. His interests include exploring health care disparities and using remote monitoring technologies with telemedicine to address these disparities.
Dr. Sauer believes professionalism begins with self-care and accountability and allows for wellness and work-life harmony. He is a proud father of three children, and speaks frequently about the challenges, value, and joys of parenting while conducting professional life and leadership.
