Anthony Magalski, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist with Saint Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants and on staff at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the Arvin Gottlieb Endowed Chair for Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant and a Professor in Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. In addition to these accomplishments, he is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, Adult Congenital Heart Disease with advanced certification in Echocardiography, and program director of the Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant fellowship program at Saint Luke’s Hospital and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
Dr. Magalski received his MD degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His cardiology sub-specialties include the care of those patients with heart failure, heart transplantation, congenital heart disease, sports cardiology, and heart conditions in pregnancy. As Medical Director of Saint Luke’s Hospital Heart Failure Program, Adult Congenital Heart Program and Athletic Heart Clinic, Dr. Magalski is involved in multiple clinical research trials and has published numerous professional journal articles pertaining to his areas of clinical interest.
Dr. Magalski joined the practice in 1996. He was awarded the Cardiovascular Fellowship Teaching Award in 2010.
