About Jose L. Aguilera Heredia
José Aguilera, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist with Saint Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants. Dr. Aguilera specializes in heart rhythm disorders, performing ablations for the most common types of arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, conduction system pacing, supraventricular tachycardia, left atrial appendage occlusion, and ventricular tachycardia. He has skilled training in pacemaker implantation and defibrillators to manage arrhythmias, as well as left atrial appendage occlusion devices. He has experience treating less common cardiac electrical disorders such as Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
Dr. Aguilera is passionate about creating strong relationships and solving his patients’ cardiac arrhythmia challenges to restore their quality of life. He is committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based, and innovative care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Aguilera enjoys soccer, tennis, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
