KaraJo L. Sprigg, MD

KaraJo Sprigg, MD, is an internal medicine physician at Saint Luke’s Hospital Medical Education Internal Medicine Clinic, near the Country Club Plaza.

Born and raised in northwest Kansas, Dr. Sprigg completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Kansas State University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill.

Dr. Sprigg has specific interests in preventive medicine, chronic illness management, and patient education. Her practice philosophy is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that emphasizes the importance of collaboration and clear communication. She encourages her patients to be active and engaged in their care and works hard to keep them informed and confident when making decisions about their health. She especially enjoys counseling patients about achieving optimum health through prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

In addition to providing high-quality care to her patients, Dr. Sprigg is dedicated to educating future generations of internists. She has experience conducting lectures and facilitating primary care workshops for the medical community, as well as offering bedside instruction to University of Missouri–Kansas City internal medicine residents.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sprigg’s research and work in the areas of cardiology, women’s health, and gastroenterology has been shared in various clinical journals and at multiple industry conferences.
