Michael R. Arroyo, MD

Michael Arroyo, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with Saint Luke's Surgical Specialists. Dr. Arroyo started a surgical weight loss program at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa before coming back to the Kansas City area in 2013. His laparoscopic weight loss procedures include gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. He also performs general surgery utilizing minimally invasive techniques including gallbladder, hernia, colon, anti-reflux surgery, and da Vinci robotic surgery.

Dr. Michael Arroyo completed his medical school training at the University of Illinois in 2004, followed by a general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa. He then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City in 2010.

Dr. Arroyo is board-certified with the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. His surgical practice is located at Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lees Summit, Missouri.
