About Ryan W. Swope
Ryan Swope, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists. Dr. Swope specializes in hip and knee replacement and revision hip and knee reconstruction surgery. He enjoys building a strong relationship with each of his patients by providing thorough explanations and creating a treatment plan that works best for them.
As a former orthopedic trauma surgeon with the United States Air Force, Dr. Swope served for 13 years in active service. He continues to serve with the 131st at Whiteman Air Force Base as part of the Missouri Air National Guard. He served overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq multiple times between 2011 and 2018.
When Dr. Swope is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and snowboarding. He also enjoys water sports and outdoor motorsports.

Dr. Swope is one of the best surgeons I know. I had a wonderful experience with my knee replacement. He was very considerate In explaining things. His bed side manner goes above and beyond most surgeons. He explained thing very well. Made me very at easy with having the surgery. He is an all around good person and doctor. I give his name out to anyone I know needs knee surgery.
