About Timothy M. Bateman

Timothy M. Bateman, M.D. is co-director of Cardiovascular Radiologic Imaging Program at Saint Luke's and is professor of medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He is past-president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, current president of the InterSocietal Commission for the Accreditation of CT Laboratories, a board member of the InterSocietal Accreditation Commission, and a board member of the American Board of Internal Medicine-Cardiovascular Diseases.

He is an editorial consultant for eleven major medical journals and has authored/coauthored over 500 book chapters, peer reviewed publications and abstracts. He has been honored with numerous awards, including  "50 Best Doctors in Kansas City" in 2002,2004,2006,2009, and 2011 and the Distinguished Service Award of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology in 2005. His practice commitment and research interests are focused on appropriate utilization and optimization of cardiac imaging technologies for answering major clinical questions.
