Saint Luke’s East Hospital Maternity Center was designed with you in mind—providing family-centered care for our littlest patients and their parents. Our services range from low intervention, natural childbirth with our certified nurse midwife, to high-tech care for high-risk pregnancies.

With our centralized location, we conveniently serve eastern Jackson County in Missouri and Johnson County in Kansas.
Our maternity center offers:
- Spacious private rooms with accommodations for your support person
- Room service meals and refreshments available for mom and sleeping accommodations for your support person
- A Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with space for parents to room-in with baby and designed specifically for twins
- A secure environment with restricted access, a separate entrance, and 24-hour security
- Breastfeeding support from certified lactation consultants during your hospital stay and after discharge
- Missouri “Show-Me 5” recognition by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services for our adoption of evidence-based maternity care practices that support breastfeeding

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Saint Luke’s East Hospital offers a Level III NICU, providing specialty care for babies born at 30 weeks gestation or greater, as well as babies born with critical illness at all gestational ages.
High-Risk Pregnancy Care
Saint Luke’s Hospital Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists provide expert and personalized care for high-risk pregnancies. At Saint Luke’s, close monitoring and consistent communication let us better coordinate a personalized care plan.
