Patient Price Transparency
Saint Luke’s Health System is committed to providing patients with an accurate pricing estimate of our hospital services. Saint Luke’s Health System prices may not include physician fees such as surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist, or other specialists. These offices will bill you separately for their services.
Saint Luke’s Health System provides access to an easy online tool, allowing patients to create an estimate of their personal out-of-pocket costs for many common procedures and services.
By clicking on the following link, patients will be taken to our self-service Guest Estimator Tool. Patients should have their insurance information ready for a more accurate estimate, or they can proceed without insurance. Patients will be asked to select the procedure, the location, and add insurance information. Simply follow the instructions within the tool to select a different procedure or location. Patients can call our team for additional information on estimates or financial assistance.
For answers to further questions on a pricing estimate, patients should contact our billing department.
How accurate is a price estimate?
An estimate does not guarantee the exact amount you’ll need to pay because many factors affect your out-of-pocket costs. This includes what your insurance covers and what co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles you may owe.
Your care will be based on your specific needs. If the services you need change during your treatment, your out-of-pocket costs may change, too.
How to request a price estimate and calculate out-of-pocket costs?
You can request a pricing estimate by contacting our Billing Department at 816-932-5678.

What factors can affect my bill compared to the list of standard charges?
The amount paid for items and services provided to a particular patient may differ from these standard charges, depending upon several factors such as the patient's insurance coverage, deductibles, and co-pays.
Insurance plans may negotiate rates for in-network providers that are lower than standard charges. In some cases, items and services may be "bundled" by an insurance plan to reflect expected treatment for certain diagnoses or surgical procedures, notwithstanding the actual charges.
Many other variables may also affect the amount that is actually paid by or on behalf of the patient. Consistent with our community focus, Saint Luke's offers financial assistance for demonstrated need in appropriate cases.
When are out-of-pocket payments due?
The estimated out-of-pocket responsibility is requested and expected to be paid prior to service. Cancellation of your test or procedure is possible for lack of required deposits for scheduled services.
How can I find billing information for Imaging Services?
For Imaging Services, please call any of the locations below for pricing of your procedure and to schedule:
Blue Springs: 816-251-6133
Medical Plaza: 816-561-5858
Shoal Creek: 816-437-8219

Why am I receiving two bills for the same visit?
Preventive or wellness visits do not include exams, addressing new health issues, or making medication adjustments. When these services are provided at a preventive visit, your bill will be split as two separate charges. For testing or imaging performed in the hospital, you may receive two bills for one visit.
Saint Luke’s Health System has made available a copy of its standard charges for items and services provided by Saint Luke’s hospitals. This list is provided in order to help patients understand what their insurance company may allow for services obtained at a Saint Luke’s hospital and to compare charges for similar services across hospitals. These files are not intended to represent a patient’s individual out-of-pocket responsibility.
Pricing is as of December 15, 2024, and will be updated annually.
Saint Luke's Health System, to the best of its knowledge and belief, has included all applicable standard charge information in accordance with the requirements of 45 CFR part 180 and that the information displayed is true, accurate, and complete as of the date indicated in the file.
