    According to the CDC, one in ten people in the U.S. has diabetes. The Cardiometabolic Center Alliance, founded by Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, is working to advance treatment amid this growing global health problem.

    This week, we talk with Melissa Magwire, RN, MSN, CDE, program director of the Saint Luke’s Michael & Marlys Haverty Cardiometabolic Center of Excellence, about the center's comprehensive approach to treating diabetes and cardiometabolic disease.
