KCTV: Atrial Fibrillation and New Treatment
Atrial fibrillation, or a-fib, is the most common type of treated heart arrhythmia, and it is estimated that 12.1 million people in the United States will have a-fib in 2030. Untreated, a-fib significantly increases your risk of heart attack and stroke, yet many people with a-fib have never been diagnosed.
Dr. Sanjaya Gupta, electrophysiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, talks with KCTV about risk factors and new treatment available at Saint Luke's Atrial Fibrillation Clinic.
