KMBC: Young Kansas City Lawyer Beats Stage 3 Colon Cancer, Shares Message of Awareness
Last July, Jackson Auer was two days away from his 26th birthday and had just moved to Kansas City following his graduation from law school. He was preparing to begin his career in law, but his plans came to a halt when he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.
10 months later, after his treatment at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, Jackson is now cancer-free and newly engaged.
KMBC talked with Jackson and his doctor, Marc Roth, MD, a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at Saint Luke's, about Jackson's journey and the dramatic rise in colon cancer diagnoses among young Americans.
