Amanda Reigelsberger named Hedrick Medical Center 2022 Employee of the Year

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — Hedrick Medical Center recently announced the 2022 Employee of the Year. Amanda Reigelsberger, registered nurse IV in Hedrick Medical Center’s maternity department, was presented with the award at a ceremony held in her honor on February 13. Other nominees were 2022 Employee of the Quarter winners: Mandy Morton, Ashley Ewing, and Sherry Sterling.

Reigelsberger has been with Hedrick Medical Center for 11 years. In her nomination form, coworkers mentioned that “Amanda always goes above and beyond to ensure fellow coworkers feel supported within the department. She is a team player who has taken on additional responsibility, never asking for recognition when doing so. Amanda considers the needs of coworkers and takes on additional shifts to ensure the department has experienced staff in place when needed.  She is an outstanding example of a professional nurse who also manages her own busy family.”

Reigelsberger has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, serves on the Saint Luke’s Health System Bereavement Committee, participates in the SLHS Career Advancement Program, and has her RN certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing. Reigelsberger and her husband, Jake, have four children: Archer, Brandt, Evie, and Trace.  She enjoys being her children’s biggest cheerleader and spending time with her extended family.

In recognition of the award, Reigelsberger’s name will be engraved on a permanent plaque within the hospital. She will receive a recognition certificate, a parking space of her choice for a year, and acknowledgment in the local media and hospital employee intranet.
