FOX4: Saint Luke's North Hospital partners with Park Hill School District to offer hands on classes to students

Saint Luke's North Hospital has partnered with Park Hill School District to provide junior and senior students with hands-on, real-world experience in the medical field. Students are selected and able to shadow healthcare professionals and see first-hand what it is to work in places like a laboratory, a pharmacy, an operating room and about 12 other hospital jobs.

Graduating seniors say the health science program helped them narrow their career paths and the opportunity gave them the professional skills they need to be successful in the real world. About 80-percent of the students who partake in this opportunity go on to pursue careers in the medical industry.
