Hedrick Family Care welcomes Matt Hendrix, MD

Hedrick Family Care in Chillicothe is pleased to welcome family medicine physician, Matt Hendrix, MD, to the medical team. Dr. Hendrix began treating patients at Hedrick in late 2020. He has a special interest in in pediatrics, preventive medicine, weight management, sports medicine, and overall community health.

Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Hendrix served five years in the United States Marine Corps, where he achieved the rank of Platoon Sergeant. He graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine in 2017. He completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as well.

"My wife and I are truly excited to be here in Chillicothe at Hedrick Family Care," Dr. Hendrix said. "Saint Luke’s is a tremendous health system and I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of it. I grew up in the country and am excited to be back to rural Missouri.”

Dr. Hendrix and his wife Erin have one daughter, Alena, and one son, Abel. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
