You can’t hear about the Kentucky Derby without hearing about mint juleps—in fact more than 80,000 were poured this past weekend at Churchill Downs. But did you know the son of the creator of the most famous mint julep recipe lives right here in Kansas City at Saint Luke's Bishop Spencer Place? Meet Bill Buckner and watch his story of the mint juleps his father once mixed and served for President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
