KCTV: No One Dies Alone Program Provides Caring Presence
Saint Luke’s No One Dies Alone (NODA) program gives support to people in the final hours who many not have family or friends to be by their side.
"When you first go into the room of a patient, they're a patient," said Lori Hill, a volunteer with Saint Luke’s NODA program. "They're someone you don't know. But by the time you leave, you feel like you're connected with them. You feel like they've become family."
Learn more about NODA at Saint Luke’s Health System—which is seeking volunteers to provide a caring, comforting presence for patients in their final hours at hospitals across the System.
