KSHB: Saint Luke's Hospice and Will Shields partner on grief camp for kids who have lost loved ones

Saint Luke's Hospice and Will Shields' Will to Succeed Foundation and 68 Fitness & Sports Training have joined forces to host WILLPower: Healing in Motion, a one-day camp for kids, ages 6 to 18, who are grieving the death of a loved one.

WILLPower offers a safe place for kids to work through their feelings using physical activity. Kids often have a hard time putting their grief into words but through motion, they can release big feelings in a healthy way.

Saint Luke’s grief experts will be on hand to help campers learn healthy ways to release anger and cope with these big emotions, and how to lean on our team of family, friends, teachers, etc., when we need encouragement.

The camp will be held on Friday, October 18th. Register here or call 816-932-5100 by Monday, September 30th. The camp cost is $25 per child. There is a discounted rate for multiple children in a family and scholarships are available for families who may need assistance having their child attend.
