Saint Luke’s Celebrates Advanced Practice Providers
Saint Luke’s Health System is proud to participate in this year’s inaugural National APP Week (Oct. 11–15). This event celebrates the work of our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and highlights their efforts across the health system.
While they hold unique roles within our organization, APPs are emblematic of what makes Saint Luke’s an excellence-minded health care organization. This group of providers consistently follows high-quality, evidence-based practices, ensuring first-rate patient care.
For APP Week, we will be celebrating our:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists: These professionals deliver expert anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgery—from elective to emergency procedures.
Clinical Nurse Specialists: Considered an advanced practice registered nurse, clinical nurse specialists serve as clinical experts in their chosen area of specialty. Using evidence-based practices, they promote clinical and organizational change to enhance patient care.
Nurse Midwives: These advanced practice registered nurses specialize in the full range of female primary health care services. The list includes physicals, wellness, reproduction, and pregnancy care. Pregnancy care encompasses prenatal and postpartum care for expecting mothers.
Nurse Practitioners: Nurse Practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who have graduate training with a certification to treat those with medical illnesses. Given their broad clinical and educational background, NPs work in a variety of health care settings.
Physician Assistants/Associates: Commonly referred to as a PA, these professionals bring experiences in areas such as athletic training and prehospital emergency medicine as EMTs or paramedics. PAs maintain a collaborative relationship with physician colleagues and serve as trusted health care providers.
Please help us in supporting our APPs and acknowledging their contributions.
