Two cardiologists from Johns Hopkins University are working to develop an app for Apple Watch that will help heart attack patients prevent future heart issues.

STAT talked to Dr. John Spertus, Clinical Director of Outcomes Research at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, about why more research is needed to help move the app forward.
