About Keith B. Allen
Keith Allen, M.D. is the Director of Surgical Research for the Mid America Heart & Lung Surgeons and is board certified in Thoracic, Vascular, and General Surgery. He attended the University of Kansas for medical school where he graduated AOA and completed residencies in general surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and vascular and cardiothoracic surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's in Chicago, IL. Dr. Allen maintains an active clinical practice while also participating in cutting edge research to provide his patients with the best care possible. He has has over 100 publications in journals such as the NEJM, JTCVS, and The Annals of Thoracic Surgery and serves on the FDA's Circulatory Device Panel. Dr. Allen is a member of American Association of Thoracic Surgeons (AATS), Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS), and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Surgery (ISMICS).
