Weight Loss That Lasts

Gain Your Health Back

You can lose your excess weight—and keep it off for life, just like Esther.  "Three years, 142 pounds, nine dress sizes, 13,000 minutes of meditation, dozens of behavioral therapy sessions, two finished 5Ks, and one global pandemic later—I’m proud to say I know a few things about pulling off a successful surgical weight loss journey, " Esther says.

If dieting and past weight-loss efforts haven't been successful, you may be a candidate for the most effective treatment for obesity: bariatric surgery. Saint Luke’s Center for Surgical Weight Loss is nationally recognized for high-quality and compassionate care. From extensive education upfront, through surgery and long-term post-surgery support, you can trust that our experts will be there with you throughout your journey.

Get Started with an online seminar

We invite you to attend a free, no-obligation educational online seminar. You’ll learn more about the types of bariatric surgery, the qualifications for surgery, and why Saint Luke's program is unique. The four videos take less than 20 minutes to complete and is the next step to a consultation with a surgeon.

Minimally Invasive Procedures

We offer three minimally invasive procedures, speeding recovery time and minimizing the risk of complications.

  • Sleeve gastrectomy: Currently the most common weight-loss surgery, this procedure removes a large portion of the stomach, which limits how much the patient can eat.
  • Gastric bypass: Another common weight-loss surgery for decades, this procedure reduces the size of the stomach and reroutes a portion of the intestines. Weight loss works in more than one way, by consuming and absorbing less.
  • Duodenal switch: This procedure removes a large portion of the stomach and bypasses a considerable amount of the intestine. This can result in more dramatic weight loss.

Comprehensive Support

Our goal is to help improve your health and quality of life by giving you the tools and support to successfully lose and keep off your excess weight. That support begins with your first consultation and continues long after surgery, including:

  • Education about your surgical options
  • Diet counseling based on your nutritional needs
  • Exercise program customized for you
  • Psychological consultations, before and after your surgery
  • Regularly scheduled post-surgery follow-up visits
