Yvonne Ryan named Employee of the Quarter at Anderson County Hospital

Yvonne Ryan was recently named Employee of the Quarter at Anderson County Hospital for the second quarter of 2014. Ryan has been employed at Anderson County Hospital for five years as the activity director and social service designee for the long term care unit.  In this position Ryan develops, implements, evaluates and documents  social service plans for residents in the long term care unit under the direction of a licensed social worker.

In her nomination form, Mary Gedrose, director of the long term care unit, praised Ryan for her willingness to be flexible with her schedule to serve the residents. Gedrose said that Ryan will go above and beyond whenever needed to ensure the resident receives the best quality of care. “She even will take home their mending and donate her personal time to ensure the resident’s needs are met. She is outgoing and is a great leader. She is always willing to stop what she is doing and help out on the floor to assist her teammates.” Ryan demonstrates extraordinary commitment to the  team and the residents.

Denny Hachenberg, CEO of Anderson County Hospital said, “Ryan is a great asset to our team and we want to recognize her dedication to our residents and thank her for being a great ambassador for Anderson County Hospital. We want to congratulate her on winning this important award.”

Ryan was recognized at the end of August with a cake and punch reception and numerous rewards including a prime parking spot for the quarter. Ryan lives in rural Anderson County with her husband, Kevin, and their two daughters.
