Hedrick Medical Center receives Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 2014 Fast Track Award
Hedrick Medical Center has been named one of the seven 2014 Fast Track Award winners by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since the creation of the award in 2003, this is the first time it has been presented to an acute care hospital.
The Fast Track Award is presented annually to Missouri companies that have experienced phenomenal growth over the last four years. Hedrick was selected as a prime example of outstanding growth among other nominated companies of the same size.
In February, Hedrick moved to its new $41 million facility, which allowed the hospital to expand its services. Serving a region of 50,000 residents, Hedrick employees approximately 300 people and provides a wide array of acute health care needs—both inpatient and outpatient. The hospital’s specialties include obstetrics and gynecology, 3D mammography, primary care, general surgery, a 24/7 emergency department, 24/7 hospitalist care, and podiatry. Additionally, as part of Saint Luke’s Health System, Hedrick’s eHealth program allow patients in Chillicothe access to world-class Saint Luke’s specialists in Kansas City in more than 10 specialty services, including cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, pulmonology, and psychiatry.
“We are committed to quality outcomes and exceptional service, and I believe our recent success confirms that.” Hedrick CEO Matt Wenzel said. “We’re honored that the Missouri Chamber recognized our hard work and achievements, and decided to choose us as the first acute care hospital to receive this distinguished award.”
The Missouri Chamber Fast Track Awards began in 2003 and the winners are selected from nominations of companies within seven revenue sectors, with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to more than $1 billion. The winners are those that have experienced the greatest rate of growth in each sector throughout the past four years.
Wenzel will be presented with the award on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Missouri Chamber’s 2014 Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, being held at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St Louis.
The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1923 and is the largest business organization in Missouri, representing almost 3,000 employers, providing more than 425,000 jobs for Missourians.
