KCTV: Music from the Heart Concert Celebrating Women's Heart Center's 25th Anniversary

In celebration of Saint Luke's Muriel I. Kauffman Women's Heart Center's 25th anniversary, Saint Luke's is partnering with the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts to put on a free concert as a Mother's Day gift to the community.

"Music from the Heart: A Special Mother's Day Pipe Organ Concert" will take place Sunday, May 12 at 4 p.m. at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Before the performance, Saint Luke's will recognize Julia Irene Kauffman for her contributions to the Heart Center's success.

Marcia McCoy, Program Director of the Women's Heart Center, talked about why Julia's support has been so meaningful over the years on Better Kansas City.

"Her passion represents her mother's desire for women to take ownership of their health," McCoy said. "Julia's vision and her leadership has actually helped advance women's heart health, particularly here in Kansas City."
