September is National Suicide Prevention Month. 

Suicide is currently the second-leading cause of death in children ages 10-14 and rates among youths in the United States are the highest they have been since 2000.

Amanda Davis, Director of Intake Services at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City Crittenton Children's Center, shared how to open the conversation with teens and children, as well as what stressors can trigger harmful thoughts with Better Kansas City.
