Make an appointment
After the Center receives a physician referral, a specially trained, oncology nurse practitioner will contact the patient to schedule an initial evaluation. This nurse practitioner will serve as the single point of contact and facilitate collaboration between a team of dedicated diagnostic and cancer experts.
The patient will be scheduled for biopsy and diagnostic imaging appointments—we reserve appointments specifically for Cancer Diagnostic Center patients, which allows us to get test results into the hands of our oncologists more quickly. The team will review the findings and communicate the diagnosis and preliminary treatment plan to the patient.
All Cancer Diagnostic Center appointments take place at Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute, located at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City for our patients’ convenience, we offer treatment and ongoing care at seven locations throughout Kansas City and beyond.
