KCTV: Islamic leaders approve of vaccines during Ramadan
During the holy month of Ramadan, people in the Muslim community are required to avoid eating or drinking from dawn until dusk, leaving some practicing Muslims questioning if receiving a COVID vaccine breaks the fasting requirements.
KCTV talked to Dr. Shais Jallu, a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Saint Luke's and a practicing Muslim, about why Islamic leaders say the vaccine is permissible and why people should not delay getting the vaccine.
