KMBC: Kansas City front-line workers say they're feeling strain of COVID-19 surge

Intensive care units across Kansas City are becoming increasingly full with unvaccinated COVID-19 patients. Doctors are now seeing more younger patients in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are severely ill.

KMBC talked to Dr. Carole Freiberger, critical care physician at Saint Luke's Hospital, about what front-line workers are seeing and why this spike could have been prevented.
