GARNETT, KS – Anderson County Hospital is pleased to announce that family medicine physician Cecilia R. Mathis, MD, will join the medical team at the Family Care Center in October. She will provide primary care for patients of all ages and has special interests in pediatrics and women’s health.

Dr. Mathis earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Salina, Kansas. She will complete her family medicine residency training at Spokane Teaching Health Clinic in Spokane, Washington, later this summer.

Dr. Mathis grew up in Richmond, Kansas, and looks forward to returning home with her husband and three young children to be near family and friends. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to begin my family medicine career at the Family Care Center and am eager to fulfill this need in a community that I already know and love,” shared Mathis.

The Family Care Center is located next to the hospital at 536 W. 4th Avenue in Garnett.
