Melinda L. Estes, MD, Honored with Gail L. Warden Leadership Excellence Award

On Nov. 14, the National Center for Healthcare Leadership awarded Melinda L. Estes, MD, Saint Luke’s Health System CEO, with the prestigious Gail L. Warden Leadership Excellence Award. Dr. Estes and co-recipient Jim Skogsbergh, CEO of Advocate Health, were honored surrounded by health care leaders from across the country.

Both were selected for this national recognition for their tireless commitment and influential contributions to improving the health of their communities through their leadership excellence. This award recognizes extraordinary contributions to health policy, health care delivery, community wellness, and mentorship—and celebrates recipients’ exemplary commitment, values, and impact.

“Dr. Estes has made a career of significant contributions to health care leadership serving patients, communities, and the nation,” said Julie Quirin, President of Saint Luke’s Health System. “Saint Luke’s joins the broader health care community in congratulating her on this award and thanking her for her leadership.”
