About Benjamin Kulow, MD
Benjamin Kulow, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon at Saint Luke’s Surgical Specialists. Dr. Kulow is committed to providing excellent care and combining the most advanced surgical technology with a deeply personal, compassionate approach. He has clinical interests and advanced training in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr. Kulow’s goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and comfortable. He believes in taking the time to explain complex conditions so that his patients can be a true partner in their own health care decisions. He is passionate about personalized planning to ensure every patient receives a strategy tailored to their unique needs. Dr. Kulow understands that facing a surgical procedure can cause apprehension, and his priority is to earn his patients’ confidence by building a relationship based on clear communication and genuine care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Kulow enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons, smoking barbeque, cheering on one of our local sports teams, or relaxing with a good science fiction book. He loves being part of the Kansas City community. His fascination with technology extends beyond the operating room, and he loves keeping up with the latest in consumer technology.
