About Dmitri Baklanov, MD
Dmitri Baklanov, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist with Saint Luke's Cardiovascular Specialists. Dr. Baklanov has advanced clinical expertise in heart catheterization and angiography, minimally invasive coronary and vascular intervention. His clinical interests are broad and include taking care of patients with risk factors for cardiovascular disease, exercise intolerance, hypertension, lipid disorders, atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, history of myocardial infarction and heart failure.
He received medical education and training in St. Petersburg and started practicing cardiology in 1994. He completed his internal medicine residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Baklanov is the Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
He has trained numerous cardiology fellows and made significant contributions to scientific literature in transradial coronary intervention and outcomes research.
Dr. Baklanov is married with 3 children. His hobbies include USA Swimming officiating at local and national meets, travel, reading and classical music.
