About Jacob Hoerter, MD
Jacob Hoerter, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist at Saint Luke’s Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists. Dr. Hoerter is a comprehensive otolaryngologist with experience performing full-spectrum head and neck surgery. His clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck cancer, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, skin cancer of the face and scalp, sleep surgery, voice and swallow surgery, and cochlear implantation.
Dr. Hoerter prioritizes a collaborative and individualized approach to care. He takes time to listen to each patient’s concerns, clearly outlines treatment options, and ensures that patients feel empowered in making decisions about their health. His care philosophy is guided by clarity in communication, compassion in every interaction, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. He also incorporates advanced tools such as point-of-care ultrasound and offers in-office procedures when appropriate, helping many patients receive answers and treatment more quickly and with greater convenience.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Hoerter is excited to return to the Midwest to serve patients in Missouri and Kansas. When not caring for patients, he enjoys cycling, snow skiing, scuba diving, international travel, and exploring new cuisines. He is also a fan of science fiction and board games and shares his home with two miniature dachshunds who often join him on adventures.
