Venous disease refers to all conditions related to or caused by veins that become incompetent or nonfunctional.

At Saint Luke’s Hospital, we provide a multidisciplinary approach to managing your dialysis access needs. Our surgeons work closely with nephrology and are available to evaluate an existing dialysis access that may be causing you problems, such as pain, discomfort, or visible aneurysm formation.

During a vasectomy reversal, the two cut ends of each vas deferens are stitched back together. With the sperm pathways restored, sperm can once again travel through the vas deferens and leave the body during ejaculation. You may then be able to make a person pregnant.

Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute uses mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (VADs), or heart pumps, to support patients with intractable congestive heart failure.

Ventricular tachycardia is a rapid heart rate. It begins in your heart’s lower chambers, or ventricles. Experts usually define ventricular tachycardia as three or more heartbeats in a row, at a rate of more than 120 beats a minute. If ventricular tachycardia lasts for more than a few seconds at a time, it can become life threatening.

The Saint Luke’s Vestibular Balance Rehabilitation team consists of therapists with specialized training in treating vestibular and balance disorders.
