Faster, Better Back Pain Relief

At Saint Luke's, you'll have a team of specialists working together on your back pain, helping you get back to the life you love.

Back pain can be complicated, sometimes requiring you to see multiple specialists to find the most effective treatment.

The Saint Luke’s spine program brings those specialists together on one team focused solely on providing you with quicker access to the most effective treatment. Our team provides comprehensive care for back pain–from minor to debilitating–at two locations, Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit and Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. They’ll help you navigate the process, so you can get pain relief faster.

The spine program is part of the Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute

The Saint Luke’s Difference

Saint Luke’s is the only place in the area where a multidisciplinary spine team meets on a weekly basis to review the cases of back and neck pain patients. This team is made up of specialists who determine the next treatment for you. Our specialists include:

  • Neurologists
  • Neurosurgeons
  • Pain management
  • Physical medicine and rehabilitation
  • Physical therapists
  • Sports medicine

The goal is to help patients manage pain by means other than the long-term use of opioid medications. Our treatments may include physical therapy and exercise, non-narcotic medications, and interventions, such as injections or surgical management when necessary.
