Ashley Ewing Named Hedrick Medical Center’s Employee of the Quarter

CHILLICOTHE, Mo.  – Ashley Ewing, oncology nurse navigator at Hedrick Medical Center, was honored as the hospital’s Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2022. Steve Schieber, Hedrick Medical Center CEO, presented the award to Ewing at a reception held in her honor on July 13.

The Employee of the Quarter Award honors an employee who provides exemplary service, going beyond the call of duty to support fellow employees or to comfort or assist patients and their families. In her nomination form, Ewing is described as “having immeasurable compassion for our patients and their families, she is a huge asset to the hospital. Ashley is a hand holder, a listener, and friend while our patients and families are going through their most difficult times. She is a true example of what all health care workers should strive to be.  She treats patients like her own family by spending countless hours with them and providing needed support. Ashley is dedicated to growing our program in ways that not only benefit Hedrick Medical Center, but most importantly, the patients we serve.”

In recognition of the award, Ewing received an Employee of the Quarter certificate, the parking space of her choice for three months, her photo posted in the hospital, her name engraved on a plaque displayed in the hospital, and recognition in local media.
