Saint Luke's Rehabilitation Institute is a state-of-the-art destination facility that will be unique to the Kansas City region with leading-edge neuro-robotic equipment and the latest clinical trials for technologies and therapies. It will help patients and their families recover from a stroke, traumatic brain and spinal injuries, trauma, and other debilitating conditions. 

Dr. Brad Steinle, Medical Director of Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, and Bobby Olm-Shipman, President and CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital, spoke with Better Kansas City about how the Saint Luke's Rehabilitation Institute is unique to the region, what types of conditions will be treated, the new technology that will be used with patients, and why this is such an important development for Kansas City and the surrounding communities. 

Saint Luke's Rehabilitation Institute, in Overland Park, is on Saint Luke's South Hospital campus, will have an open house on August 22, where a public tour will be held from 5-6 pm.

The 2018 Books and Boutiques raised over $320,000 to build a new therapeutic garden at the state of the art Rehabilitation Institute, opening in Fall 2019 on the campus of Saint Luke’s South Hospital.
