To help patients who are hospitalized for atrial fibrillation return home to continue their recovery as soon as possible, Saint Luke’s Health System gives physicians guidance in Epic as they determine whether a patient is a good candidate for these medications.
They’ve now shortened the average length of stay by nearly two days.
Epic talked to Dr. Sanjaya Gupta, cardiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, about how Saint Luke's improved arrhythmic drug monitoring using decision support.
