KSHB: Kansas City Woman Overcomes Health Challenge, Earns 3 Medals at Pan-American Masters Games
Pam has been a lifelong swimmer and started competitive swimming again at the age of 70. A health event last June could have put Pam's swimming on hold but Dr. John Lee, a cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, was able to diagnose Pam and help her manage her condition. This helped Pam continue swimming and compete in the U.S. Nationals and the Pan-American Games, bringing home 14 medals in all.
Pam and Dr. Lee talk to KSHB about her condition and Pam's message to others wanting to still stay active as they age.
