KSHB: KC-area doctors separate COVID-19 vaccine fact from fiction during panel
A group of local doctors took part in a public forum to discuss the importance of the vaccines and address concerns, especially as it relates to Kansas City-area minority communities, during a panel discussion in conjunction with Black History Month.
According to the CDC, COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted minority communities.
KSHB talked to Michael Weaver, MD, FACEP, CDM, Medical Director of Saint Luke's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program, about how Pfizer and Moderna were cognizant of diversity in the vaccine clinical trials.
