It is more common than people realize - irregular heart rhythms. More than two million Americans suffer from it and most people don't even realize it. It's called atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat that causes poor blood flow.

KSHB's The Now KC reporter Rae Daniel talked to Dr. Sanjaya Gupta, a cardiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, about how a new device is helping patients keep a steady heartbeat. One patient shares her story about how Zio patch helped monitor her heart.
