Vascular and Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiologists are specialized physicians who use imaging technologies to guide small wires and catheters within the body to diagnose or treat a variety of medical issues. Treatments often require a single small incision, which reduces recovery time and allows patients to go home more quickly, possibly the same day. The procedures performed by interventional radiologists include port placements for chemotherapy, image-guided biopsies for disease diagnosis, and treatment of many different tumors.
The Saint Luke’s Interventional Radiology team consists of fellowship-trained interventional radiologists and advanced practice providers. The department contains numerous dedicated hybrid operating rooms, which deliver high-quality imaging and complex procedural care.
Our staff works with other Saint Luke's specialists in oncology, gastroenterology, general surgery, and nephrology to provide the highest level of care to our patients. Complex cases are discussed in multidisciplinary conferences where experts from different departments create a personalized care plan.
Our interventional radiology team provides care using expertise and the leading-edge treatments. If you would like to discuss treatment options, please contact us to schedule an outpatient consultation.
