Patient Preparation:
Fasting preferred; samples shouldn't be drawn earlier than 48 hours following plasma exchange.

1.5 mL of plasma

Collection Procedure:
Immediately after drawing the specimen, place the tubes on wet ice.
Specimen Processing:
Spin and separate, freeze within 30 minutes of collection. Make sure to label each pour off as serum and citrated plasma!

Frozen - 14 days
Unacceptable Condition:
Gross hemolysis, gross lipemia, serum gel tube, heparin plasma.
