Patient should avoid ingestion of Vitamin C for 24 hours prior to sample collection.

Collection Procedure:

No gel tubes!

Specimen Processing:

Promptly centrifuge with refrigeration and separate serum or plasma into chilled plastic serum transfer tube.

Frozen - 30 days
Refrigerated - 14 days
Room temperature - Not Stable

Unacceptable Condition:

Received Room Temperature. Gray top tube (Sodium Fluoride/ Potassium Oxalate). Polymer gel separation tube (SST or PST).
