Research shows benefit for stroke patients in removing blood clot with device

A major new study finds using a stent retriever to remove a blood clot is better than medication alone for people having a stroke. FOX 4's Meryl Lin McKean spoke with Kurt Hinrichs, who is grateful that paramedics quickly and properly identified his stroke in 2014 and neurointerventionalists at Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute were skilled at using a stent retriever to remove the clot.
